Origami is very good at one shape of work. If your work has a different shape, this is where to look.

Disclosure: this list is written by the team behind Manet, and Manet is one of the seven. Product details come from each vendor’s public pages and reputable pricing reviews, checked on October 30, 2026. Plans change often, so confirm pricing with the vendor before you buy.

Most people searching for Origami alternatives aren’t unhappy with Origami. They’ve just noticed that their day doesn’t look like the one Origami was designed for.

Origami turns a prompt into a research table. It pulls from a wide spread of sources, enriches contacts, scores rows and pushes the result into a sequence or a CRM. If your job is building and working lists of accounts, that’s a great fit. If your job is something else, like starting fewer, better conversations on LinkedIn, or orchestrating data across ten vendors, you’ll feel the friction.

So instead of ranking tools from best to worst, we’ve sorted seven alternatives by the job they’re built for. Pick the job first. The tool usually picks itself.

The short answer

  • For LinkedIn-first, relationship-led outreach: Manet. Finds specific people with a reason to talk now, drafts in your voice, and waits for your approval on what matters.

  • For enrichment and custom data workflows: Clay. The most flexible way to combine many data providers and AI research steps.

  • For an all-in-one database and sequencer on a budget: Apollo.io.

  • For SDR teams running multichannel outbound with an AI copilot: Amplemarket.

  • For warm outbound built on intent and website signals: Unify.

  • For doing it yourself inside LinkedIn: LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

  • For multichannel sequences that mix email and LinkedIn steps: lemlist.

Diagram mapping four go-to-market jobs to tools: finding the right people (Manet, Sales Navigator), building and enriching data (Clay, Apollo.io), running sequences at volume (Amplemarket, lemlist), and acting on warm account signals (Unify).

If you only take one thing from this post: decide which of these four jobs is eating your week.

What Origami is built for

To pick a good alternative, it helps to be clear about what you’d be leaving. Based on Origami’s public product pages, its core loop is an AI chat that feeds a structured, editable lead table. It searches across sources like social profiles, Google Maps, job boards, funding data and tech-stack data, then adds work emails and phone numbers, scores each row against your criteria, and exports to CSV, HubSpot or Salesforce. It also has a built-in social and email sequencer.

That’s a broad toolkit. The trade-off is that the center of gravity is the list. We wrote about this in more depth in Manet vs. Origami: Same Prompt, Different Philosophies, including a live speed race you can run yourself.

How we chose these seven

We looked at four things for each tool:

  1. The job it’s really built for. Not every feature on the pricing page, but the workflow the product is designed around.

  2. The main channel. LinkedIn, email, phone, or a mix.

  3. How much a human stays in the loop. Some tools are designed to run on their own. Some are designed to wait for you.

  4. How you pay. Seats, credits, or both. Credit-based tools can be cheap to start and expensive to scale.

1. Manet: for LinkedIn-first, relationship-led outreach

Best for: founders, fractional execs and small teams who sell through relationships and want fewer, better conversations.

You describe who you want to reach in plain English, the way you’d brief a colleague. Manet finds people who fit, inside and outside your network, and shows the evidence for each match: the post, the job listing, the funding round, the comment. It then suggests an approach tied to that moment. A thoughtful comment on a relevant post. A connection request that references something real. An invitation to an event they’d actually care about.

The part that matters most to our users is control. Manet drafts the way you start conversations, you review and edit important actions, and it learns from those edits. Aria, the agent behind it, can show you progress and ask for approvals on WhatsApp, so the work keeps moving when you’re away from your desk.

Where it falls short: Manet is LinkedIn-only today, with more channels on the way. It isn’t a contact-data waterfall, so if you need verified phone numbers for 2,000 accounts, pair it with an enrichment tool. It’s also in early access, which means a smaller feature set than tools that have been around for years. You’ll need your own LinkedIn account connected.

Pricing: free early access at the time of writing.

2. Clay: for enrichment and custom data workflows

Best for: RevOps people, growth engineers and agencies who want to build their own prospecting machine.

Clay is a spreadsheet that can call dozens of data providers and AI research steps. Its signature move is waterfall enrichment: if the first provider doesn’t find an email, the next one tries, and so on. Claygent, its research agent, can visit websites and answer questions about each row. If you can describe a data workflow, you can probably build it in Clay.

Where it falls short: flexibility has a learning curve. Clay rewards people who enjoy building systems. The conversation itself is still up to you or another tool, though Clay now has its own email sequencer.

Pricing: as reported in October 2026, a free tier plus Launch at about $185 per month and Growth at about $495 per month (less when billed annually), metered by data credits and actions. Unused actions don’t roll over, so model your volume before you commit.

3. Apollo.io: for an all-in-one database and sequencer on a budget

Best for: early teams who want contacts, email sequences and a dialer in one place without stitching tools together.

Apollo combines a large B2B contact database with sequencing, basic intent data and CRM sync. For a founder who needs to send a first few hundred emails next week, it’s often the quickest place to start, and it has long offered a free tier.

Where it falls short: a big shared database means you’re fishing in the same pond as everyone else, and data freshness varies by segment. Its strength is breadth and speed, not depth of context about a specific person.

Pricing: free tier plus paid seats with credit allowances. Apollo has adjusted its plans several times in 2026, so check the current page.

4. Amplemarket: for SDR teams running multichannel outbound

Best for: sales teams with SDRs who run email, LinkedIn and phone touches at volume and want an AI copilot to help.

Amplemarket bundles a contact database, signals such as job changes, multichannel sequences, deliverability tooling and Duo, its AI copilot that suggests leads and drafts messages for reps to approve. It’s a strong choice when you have a team and a process and want to run it in one platform.

Where it falls short: it’s built for an outbound team, and priced like it. A solo founder doing a handful of conversations a week will pay for a lot they don’t use.

Pricing: seat-based plans, typically sold annually. Ask for a quote.

5. Unify: for warm outbound built on intent signals

Best for: teams with real website traffic and a defined ICP who want outreach triggered by buying signals.

Unify’s idea is warm outbound: watch for signals like website visits from target accounts, job changes and other intent, then trigger plays that research and contact the right people. If your marketing already drives traffic, it can turn that into timely pipeline.

Where it falls short: signal-based tools need signals. If you’re pre-launch or your traffic is thin, there’s less for it to act on. It’s also designed around plays that run at scale, which is a different philosophy from reviewing each important action by hand.

Pricing: annual plans based on usage. Ask for a quote.

6. LinkedIn Sales Navigator: for doing it yourself, natively

Best for: anyone who wants LinkedIn’s own search, lead lists and alerts, and is happy to do the thinking and writing personally.

Sales Navigator gives you LinkedIn’s advanced filters, saved searches, alerts on job changes and posts, InMail credits and, on Advanced, TeamLink to find warm paths through your colleagues. It’s the baseline every LinkedIn prospecting tool gets compared to. We go deeper in LinkedIn Sales Navigator vs. AI prospecting tools.

Where it falls short: filters describe titles and companies, not context. Sales Navigator will tell you someone is a VP of Sales in London. It won’t tell you they just posted about their SDR team missing quota, or draft something worth sending. That part is still on you.

Pricing: LinkedIn listed Core at $119.99 per month ($89.99 per month billed annually) and Advanced at $159.99 per month ($149.99 per month billed annually) in late October 2026.

7. lemlist: for multichannel sequences with LinkedIn steps

Best for: small teams running cold outreach who want email and LinkedIn steps in one sequence, with good personalization tools.

lemlist is known for personalized cold email, including custom images and variables, plus sequences that can include LinkedIn profile visits, invitations and messages. It also comes with deliverability features and a lead database.

Where it falls short: it’s a sequencer at heart. The personalization is only as good as the variables you feed it, and a sequence is still a sequence: the same steps, in the same order, for everyone on the list.

Pricing: per-seat monthly plans, with higher tiers for multichannel. Check the current page.

How to choose in ten minutes

Decision flow: what's eating your week? Finding people on LinkedIn leads to Manet; contact data to Clay or Apollo.io; team sequences to Amplemarket or lemlist; website traffic to Unify. Background: Monet, Sainte-Adresse.

Answer these honestly and the list gets short fast.

  1. How many people do you need to reach each week? Twenty to fifty thoughtful conversations points one way. Two thousand emails points another.

  2. Where do your buyers actually respond? If it’s LinkedIn, start there. If it’s email, a sequencer with good deliverability matters more than anything else.

  3. Do you need contact data, or context? Emails and phone numbers are an enrichment problem. Knowing why someone is worth messaging today is a context problem.

  4. How much do you want to review? Some teams want a machine that runs. Others, especially founders whose name is on every message, want to see what goes out.

  5. Who will run it? A RevOps person will love Clay. A founder with ten spare minutes between calls probably won’t.

Can you combine them?

Yes, and most mature teams do. A common setup is one tool for data, one for sequences and one for the high-value conversations you don’t want automated. A founder might use Apollo or Clay to build a broad account list, then use Manet to find the people at those accounts who are posting about the problem right now and start a real conversation with them.

Just don’t assume native integrations between any two products on this list. Check before you plan a workflow around one.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Origami AI alternative?

It depends on the job. For LinkedIn relationship-led outreach, Manet. For enrichment and custom data workflows, Clay. For a budget all-in-one database and sequencer, Apollo.io. For SDR teams, Amplemarket. For signal-triggered outbound, Unify.

Is there a free alternative to Origami?

Manet is in free early access at the time of writing. Apollo.io and Clay both offer free tiers with limits. LinkedIn Sales Navigator has a free trial.

Which Origami alternative is best for LinkedIn?

If you want LinkedIn-native search and do the outreach yourself, Sales Navigator. If you want help finding the right people, spotting timely signals and drafting outreach you approve, Manet is built specifically for that.

Which alternative is best for data enrichment?

Clay is the most flexible for waterfall enrichment across many providers. Apollo.io is simpler if one large database is enough.

Do I need Sales Navigator to use an AI prospecting tool?

Not usually. Most tools, including Manet, work with a standard LinkedIn account you connect. Some teams keep Sales Navigator for manual research alongside an AI tool.

Can AI prospecting tools hurt my LinkedIn account?

Tools that blast high volumes of automated actions can run into LinkedIn's limits. Keeping volume reasonable and reviewing important actions, as Manet is designed to do, keeps your activity closer to how a real person works.
